Madame Ladybug October 2014 Box Review

This was my first Madame Ladybug box and I am extremly disappointed. The regular price for their "Ultimate Indulgence" box is $39.99 with shipping. I had a coupon code so I paid $36.99. Here is the description in their website of what you are supposed to get. Then see what I actually got... I do not reccommend this period subscription box. I only received 12 pads and 9 pantyliners (21in total) when it said you can get up to 38 femenine products. I guess the key words there are "up to". The makeup sponge smells like rubber so I'm not even sure if it's safe to use on my sensitive skin. The OPI color is Bare to be Different which is a very transparent nude color. Bonjour Jolie is a much better period subscription box and half the price. Plus you are guranteed 25 femenine products, pampering products as well as food & tea for only $21.

Bonjour Jolie Box August 2014

Loved my Bonjour Jolie August 2014 Box! My favorite part is the travel themed charm bracelet! Not pictured are the 25 NatraCare super + pads without wings that I specifically requested and they were more than happy to accomodate. I love that the sweets came from all over the world, which is why it is harder to calculate an overall value for this month's box. Nonetheless I feel like I did get a great deal especially because the pads themselves are about $10 and are not available where I live so I would have to order them online anyways. Their monthly sunscription box is $21 ($16+$5 shipping). They also periodically offer mystery boxes. Check them out at www.bonjourjolie.com

Bonjour Jolie August 2014 Mystery Box

After receiving my first Bonjour Jolie box in July and loving it, I decided to buy one of their mystery boxes. It was the same price as their regular monthly box ($21) except there are no femenine products. To be honest I am pretty disappointed in this box. I had previously looked at reviews on their mystery boxes and those were waaaaaay better. So far I haven only one review for this month's mystery box and the girl got 4 necklaces, a bunch of candy from earlier this year, like 16 tea bags and better pampering products. 4/6 of the tea I got already came in the July box, so did the oat bar, sesame candy, honey hard candy and honey bee lotion bar. That was another reason I was disappointed. I had only be subscribed a month and I got things in the mystery box that I had just received. I guess it is luck of the draw and I got the short end of the stick...lol
If you have never subscribed to Bonjour Jolie, I would highly recommend a mystery box. However if you are a subscriber they do say that the stuff in the boxes are from previous boxes or items that never made it to the boxes so you may receive duplicates. I just didn't think 50% of my mystery box would be from the one and only box I reveived previously. Oh well...lol maybe I will have better luck next time. Dr.Scholl's Active Series Review

I received this product through Influenster. Unfortunately it was uncomfortable for the first few days. Then it was ok. Finally it ended up hurting the toe I had fractured about 15 years ago and I could no longer wear these.

Birchbox June 2013

I also received my June Birchbox today! Birchbox is also a beauty subscription service like Ipsy and is also $10 a month or you can buy a yearly subscription for $110. I don't think that the Birchbox products are as generous or full sized like Ipsy but they have a great points program. For every item you write a review for, you receive 10 Birchbox points, and for every dollar you spend on their site, you earn 1 point. You can redeem 100 points for $10 off of your purchase. So if you save up 300 points, that would give you $30 of free products. A lot of times they will offer bonus points, so it's easy to earn them.

I think the only item I received that was full sized was the Color Club nail polish in London Calling. It is 0.25 fl oz.
I also received samples of Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo for dry and frizzy hair. It has a fruity/citrusy scent to it and a milky, light pink color.
There is also foil packets of Davines Love Smoothing Conditioner and Davines Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion.
Then there is a 0.25 fl. oz. pot of Suki Exfoliate Foaming Cleanser and a LAQA & Co. Lil' Lip Duo. Not sure what color it is because it's not labeled.

I will post more pics and review these products once I've used them. So stay tuned!

Best Hair Detangler and Detangling Hair Brush

I have been on the search for a great hair detangler and hair brush. You may have seen the Hair Bean on TV but I actually found it at Ross (it's like a Marshall's). It's original price was $9.99 but at Ross you can buy it for $4.99 or $2.99. This product does exactly what is claims. It combs your hair without hurting and does not pull out a lot of hair. It can be used on all hair types, while wet or dry. My hair is long (down to my waist) and is prone to damage. This brush is the best brush I have ever used. The only thing I don't like about it, is the fact that it has no handle. However I can over look that considering how gentle it is on my hair.I highly recommend the Hair Bean!
To make brushing my hair even easier, I have fell in love with with Beauty Protector's Protect and Detangle spray. I received a sample in my Birchbox this month and could not believe the difference! I have tried detangling products from Pantene, L'Oreal, Ion, Mane N' Tail, and Dove. NONE of them can compare to Beauty Protector's product. Unfortunately it is a BirchBox exclusive and retails for $21.95 but it is totally worth it! It smells and feels great, while doing exactly what it claims! It says that it is an "instant detangler, thermal protector, UV protector, seals cuticle, smoothes hair, locks in color, adds shine, weightless, non-greasy, moisturizes and conditions, for all hair types and  can be used daily." I highly recommend this product!
You can buy it here:
I think you can buy it even if you are not subscribed to Birchbox. However if you decide to subscribe to Birchbox, it is $10 a month and they send you around 5 beauty products to sample. They also have a great points program, which I used to get $10 off of the Beauty Protector Protect and Detangle spray. If you would like to subscribe using my refferal link, I would realy appreciate it! Thanks! :)
